Natural perfumery will now have a monthly presence on Basenotes with the debut of my column Natural Perfume Notes today, Feb. 20, 2008. Grant Osborne, the owner of Basenotes and I go many years, always crossing paths on perfume groups, and I was honored when he asked me to write for his site. Basenotes gets thousands of hits per day so the forum gives our art a very high profile among perfume lovers worldwide. It's very fitting Grant choose the cover of Mandy's Essence and Alchemy to illustrate my column.
I thank Grant for having the generosity and graciousness to acknowledge our art because it gives another level of accomplishment and recognition to our rising profile on the internet.
Basenotes started as a discussion site for men to talk about their fragrances, and evolved to the multi-faceted site you see today. It is packed with an amazing wealth of information about perfumers, perfume houses, and many, many dynamic databases and forums.
I have several other exciting announcements about the Guild that I'll make in the next few days, and there are fabulous plans in the works for the next few months. 2008 is shaping up to be a fabulous year for natural perfumery and the Guild!
