Mandy Aftel and Christophe Laudamiel in Flare Magazine

It's just very exciting and amazing that the natural perfume industry, a tiny 1% (perhaps) of the perfume market, garners such attention. Five years ago there was practically no press. Now, international publications and blogs are picking up on the increasingly-popular niche. The public and the media are obviously very interested, and here is yet another article, this time from the Canadian Vogue-like Flare magazine.

How wonderful that our growing art, classified by the use of natural aromatics that come from plants, the sea, soil and other natural sources can garner such press - our complex, new wave of fragrances are definitely a force to be reckoned with. Laudamiel is the much-lauded star of IFF, creator of such famous scents as Clinique Happy Heart and Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce. Mandy Aftel is the nose of Aftelier Perfumes and has launched Pink Lotus, Tango and drinkable/culinary hydrosols, among her varied forays into the flavor and fragrance world of naturals.
